At GRP, we don't care about patents--they're nice to have, but not required--but we're looking for defensible IP in an area with an interesting, and big, idea. We saw a continuation of 2006 and 2007, where there were too many "me-too" players. We signed two term sheets in the last six weeks, and are actively looking at opportunities.
