Tech Coast Angels: 7 New Deals, 17 Follow-On Investments In 2009

The Tech Coast Angels said today that the angel group invested in seven new deals, and seventeen follow-on deals in 2009, a total of $4.7M The group said that as part of those deals, its portfolio companies raised an additional $57M in funding from venture capital groups and other angel investors.

Report Tallies $7.7 Billion In SoCal IT Exits In 2011

Green Dot's backers included Sequoia Capital, Total Technology Ventures, and the Tech Coast Angels. Both years were well above 2009, which had a low of only $475M in exits. Compared with 2010, the report found an increase of 296 percent over exits in 2010, when $2.6 billion in liquidity was generated in the sector.
