San Diego-based IKIN said this morning that it has launched its company, backed by $5M in seed funding, to bring personalized, 3D holograms to life. The startup--led by CEO Joe Ward--says it has created a new augmented reality technology it says will enable "immersive free-standing holograms" generated from a user's smartphone.
