Irvine-based Internet-of-Things (IoT) software developer Greenwave Systems announced this morning that it has acquired Aliso Viejo-based Predixion Software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Greenwave said that the acquisition will bring it to a headcount of over 280 employees worldwide.

Calabasas-babsed Fulcrum Microsystems , the developer of switching semiconductors, has been acquired by chip giant Intel. Intel announced the acquisition this morning, but did not disclose financial terms of the acquisition. Intel said that Fulcrum's switch silicon will complement its processors and Ethernet controllers.
