Software development tools maker Perforce , which is owned by Los Angeles-based private equity investor Clearlake Capital , has completed its acquisition of Rogue Wave Software , another developer of software development tools. Financial terms of the acquisition, which were first announced in January , have not been disclosed.

Los Angeles-based MySpace has released an upgrade to the firm's set of application programming interfaces, saying this morning that it has released an upgrade to MySpaceID, the firm's API for allowing other websites to access its information. With my background as CTO of Buy.com, if I wanted to hire a Java or.NET developer, I could do a search on those titles with a keyword, and create a list, constrained to Southern Orange County or Southern California. We then create a sorted and ranked list, based on those scores. I can then see who are the top rated people for that position.
