With some coaching and mentoring from other leaders, I was able to do it myself, so I know you can do it too, by committing to the following strategies: Train yourself to always look for positives, not negatives. Of course, most professionals are optimistic, so they tend to over-commit and underestimate work requirements.

Of course these are great places to network with other investors, meet great entrepreneurs and keep your connections strong with senior execs at larger companies like Yahoo!,

I loved it when my boss gave me the additional responsibility of mentoring others in solving tough problems. Of course, keeping up with the technology on tools is a never-ending task, and it costs money. Many companies also promote local mentoring and coaching opportunities. Focus on role enrichment, not more work.

You may think you need more entrepreneurial courses in school, or more advanced degrees, but in my experience it’s more of a mindset, some good coaching, and learning by doing that separates the winners from the losers. Network conference. You learn as much as a coach as the student. It’s a win-win opportunity.
