Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX has just signed a deal to deliver two robot payloads to the moon for a small Japanese company, ispace , ispace said this morning. According to ispace, it has signed a contract with SpaceX for two flights to land two lunar orbiters on the moon. That effort expired in March.

Hawthorne-based SpaceX has received a $3M contract from NASA, to go towards some of its work aimed at space exploration on the Moon and Mars, NASA said this week. The award was one of a number of awards given to 14 companies, announced by NASA for its Tipping Point program. for those Moon and Mars exploration efforts.

Hawthorne-based commercial space rocket developer Space Exploratoin Technologies said this afternoon that it has been awarded a launch reservation contract to support the Canadian space program. Financial details of the contract win were not announced. SpaceX is led by technology mogul Elon Musk.
