It’s easier when you have traction and a competitive process for your funding is likely. There is no reason to part with your cap table or legal docs until you’re convinced that they’re actually committed to doing work with you in due diligence. Don’t over shop – If the deal you’re involved with involves raising venture capital or selling your company you naturally want some competition.
