It wasn’t so many years ago that starting a new e-commerce business on the Internet was a complex custom development project, usually costing a million dollars or more. For example, if you have no technical background, you probably can’t create or sell an enterprise software product for a low price, even today.

I originally conceived it as the Top 11 things that I believe “all entrepreneurs need to succeed.&# If it stuck to this theme then I would stand by my top 11. It isn’t a “must&# for me but it’s certainly a huge positive when entrepreneurs have it. Another example. That’s OK.

We’re here for Greycroft’s CEO Summit – a gathering of the CEO’s of their portfolio companies with guest speakers covering topics including how to build your team, PR, customer development, etc. It is the key to “customer development” that Steve Blank talks about. I’m going to save that for a future blog post.

We're the official mobile app for whatever our customer is. For example, we're the official mobile app of UCLA, even though behind the scenes is actually Hopscotch. The platform approach we took allows teams and companies and venues to access the best functionality, at a subcription price, rather than a custom development price.
