Los Angeles-based I.am+ , the tech startup started by pop star will.i.am , said on Monday that it has raised $117M in a venture funding round, and has launched itself into the artificial intelligence tools market for the enterprise. According to I.am+, the round includes Salesforce Ventures, along with other. I.am+ had previously focused on developing headphones and other consumer electronics devices.

Irvine-based Ingram Micro said on Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired The Phoenix Group , a distributor of point-of-sale (POS) technology of the US and Canadian market.
