We recently sat down with Luc Berlin, co-founder of Miigle, a SoCal startup that has an aggressive global mission to bring entrepreneurs together from around the world. What differentiates us from other platforms is that our members are helping each other – it’s about startups helping each other. Again, we’ve made this very easy.

Southern California has had its share of new startup accelerators launch in the last few months, however, few people here have actually experienced an accelerator firsthand. SocialEngine is a white-label, community platform. However Gmail is only private email conversations. We have some great mentors now.

I acted as the occasional mentor, advisor and coach to Ethan. So the team set out to solve the “chicken or the egg” problem by onboarding > 1,000 high-quality merchants across 50 service categories while going deep in two micro-areas within LA as our test market. The company was called Red Beacon.

We also did a company in Northern California, Weoutta, which is a consumer app for making future plans, which is built on top of a pretty robust data platform.
