Pasadena-based OnGreen , the online marketplace for green and clean technology businesses, said today that it has launched a new, patent marketplace focused on allowing users to license or sell their intellectual property (IP). According to OnGreen, the new marketplace will provide additional funding avenues for entrepreneurs.

Los Angeles-based XCast Labs , a provider of voice-over-IP services, is reporting today that it had 48 percent revenue growth in 2009, and now has more than 100,000 users. The firm said it has been profitable since July, and saw growth from IP-PBX, SIP Trunk, residential, and reseller customers. The firm did not disclose financials.

Pasadena-based FastSoft , a developer of Internet acceleration appliances based on research out of Caltech, has raised $950K in a debt funding, according to a regulatory filing by the firm. No details on the funding have been announced by the firm. READ MORE>>.

It seems that every week, a new, Voice-over-IP provider firm surfaces in the market, either providing PBX services, voicemail, or other similar services. What is your VoIP service all about, and how is this different from what seems to be lots of Voice over IP service providers? Cliff Rees: We're a software as a solutions company.

XCast Labs had announced funding from Siemer in February, but did not disclose the amount of that funding.
