Those are hard, since someone has to invent something innovative, but I do have some views on other ideas whose time has come and gone. Here are my favorites: Social and business networking sites. I still get about one business “idea” per week for a new networking site, which will combine the “best of all the sites” into a new one.

The top line is available storage (S), the middle line represents processing power (following Moore’s law) or (P) and the bottom line is the Network (N). In it he asserts that the web is dying and in its ashes will see the rise of the “App Internet.” Social networking is peaking. A tough way to drive.

Just for starters, Wikipedia lists about 300 sites by name, which they claim is just some of the more notable social networking sites.

You would think the obvious thing I would tell somebody is, “yes, of course it’s a great idea.&# You’d be surprised. In this particular case I wasn’t convinced it was a good idea from the limited information I had. A high level of confidence in your own ideas and ability to execute. Very decisive.
