A post by Fred Wilson pointed me to Dave McClure's Startup Metrics presentation. This is a great presentation and one that I'm going to point out to startup / early stage company CEOs. Quite often the goal is to get them into an excel spreadsheet in a form that allows people to easily play with them. Great stuff.

And it’s interesting that while they talk about the impact of Facebook, they don’t quite seem to recognize the impact of Web 2.0, Faster Cycles They also talk about waves lasting 10 years, but it’s a lot messier than that and the cycle times are much faster. social networking, etc. that’s been a cycle much shorter than 10 years.
