Connexity, Headed by FastClick's Dave Gross, Gets Seed Funding

Connexity said that it is integrating social networking and recommendation engine technology into its advertising technology. The company said it is in the midst of selecting a headquarters locations in Ventura County and hiring. The funding round came from Persistence Partners, which is also headed by Gross.

I signed up for Facebook before many – in 2005 – when I first moved back to the US. So throughout 2006/07 when I had really young kids Facebook was truly a social network for sharing family moments. Others had very few connections and they used it to share personal information. I was always more the latter.
