In the first post in this three part series I described why I believe the VC market froze between September 2008 – April 2009. We spent our future since the equity was artificial. Unemployment continues to rise – Unemployment as of September 2009 is 9.7% Consumer spending is where I’m dubious. See point 2 below.

A new report today released by PwC finds that the market for initial public offerings (IPOs) has jumped significantly in 2010, with volumes exceeding both 2008 and 2009 levels. PWC said that among the reasons for the surge was a return of private equity and venture capital portfolio companies using the U.S.
