I’m over-paying for every check I write into the VC ecosystem and valuations are being pushed up to absurd levels and many of these valuations and companies won’t hold in the long term. The market today would barely be recognizable by a time traveler from 2011. By definition?—?I’m dot-com bonanza. Ten years on much has changed.

The Los Angeles winners of the Deloitte Fast 500 ranking of fastest growing companies was announced last night at an event at Santa Monica's Shutters on the Beach, with 26 companies recognized in the overall 2011 Technology Fast 500, and three "Technology Rising Stars" recognized in the Los Angeles area.

Guy’s latest book, Enchantment , was released in March of 2011, to overwhelmingly upbeat reviews. I even plan to use it in my upcoming UC Santa Barbara Entrepreneurial Selling class. I began our discussion by asking Guy, “Why should entrepreneurs read your latest book, Enchantment?”. That doesn’t work.”.
