One of the reasons that now is the time to be an entrepreneur is the explosion of startup assistance organizations, usually called incubators or accelerators. Most of these are non-profits, set up by a university to commercialize new technologies, or a municipality to foster business development for the local economy.

San Diego-based COI Pharmaceuticals , the life sciences incubator and support entity created by Avalon Ventures to support its portfolio companies, says that one of its companies, Calporta Therapeutics , has been acquired by Merck. Department of Energy to help develop tools to secure the power grid. That's what we call OT, or Operational Technology. OT networks had a parallel development track with IT systems, but had primarily been focused on industrial applications. We've now exited the incubator and actually have an office at Microsemi.

We were incubated and launched in Canada in 2014, and at the end of 2015, we launched in the U.S. Los Angeles was interesting, in particular, because of the whole technology scene and Silicon Beach happening here. We'll also be expanding our team, and investing more in technology. Can you talk about your LA office?
