Hiring seems to be the preferred use of seed funds (by investors and founders), whereas I'd prefer a focus on customer acquisition. You may end up hiring these people eventually and you'll know more about them when you do. The startup founder is definitely not ready to hire a CTO. Far from it. They need to conserve cash.

This company was started by Victoria Duff (who many of us know from back in the late 90s), Phillis Lane (who I have known for quite a few years) and Jon Bukosky. Hopefully this is a sign of a new kind of ecosystem where there will be the possiblity of creating good start-ups that are not a classic VC kind of play.

Ive not found that much use for LinkedIn to help my blogging, but Im starting to think about this. I am in the middle of writing up some of my thoughts on this and will post about it and let you know. Im very happy with the time Ive spent building up my LinkedIn network. Los Angeles-based Aggregage (www.aggregage.com) is looking to help aggregate the content across multiple blog publishing sites, and curate that information into specific, B2B niche vertical web sites. That is starting to show itself in the B2B space. However, as we have seen in the last few years, traditional media has been failing.
Los Angeles-based Divshot , which had offered up hosting of static web pages for webdevelopers, has been acquired by Google , and will join Gogole's Firebase software development team. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.
Taylor returned home and dove into learning webdevelopment and design on his own. He ended up building a digital agency that did everything from custom apps and webdevelopment to branding and digital marketing. In the startup world, the former happens when a VC makes a bad investment, and the latter occurs when they miss a great opportunity.
