Although many are entertaining, most fail to provide entrepreneurs with a sufficient return on their time investment. Unfortunately, most business books do not offer entrepreneurs an adequate payoff. It has also influenced my thoughts, as evidenced by the six infoChachkie blog entries which reference Art. Fan, Not A Fan Boy.

I recently read a book I'd highly recommend to every reader of this blog called "Yes, 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to be Persuasive” by Robert B. In my bones I’m convinced that entrepreneurs are more nature than nurture although I know both are involved. Fred Wilson said as much on his blog also. I have recently written extensively on what I believe the 12 characteristics of an entrepreneur are. That is true of all my blog posts. I’m biased, too.

I know that would be surprising to many readers since keeping a blog somehow convinces people that I’m a time management or productivity ninja. I wrote out 3 pages of bullet point notes on paper and delivered a 20-minute speech to a crowd of entrepreneurs (which included the Minister of Technology for China).

The innocuous post, which was simply titled " Divshot " generated over 110 comments and was awarded nearly 200 points by Hacker News' notoriously jaded readers. The team subsequently earned a coveted position in Launchpad LA's current accelerator class after winning the Crowdstart LA competition. For us, the audience was perfect.
