Just the kind of person I like to meet. :) But I was a bit surprised when he emphasized how hard it had been for them to find a web developer in Los Angeles. My flippant comment was, “If you do a Google search for Los Angeles web developer, you’ll find a LOT of people and firms.” And he’s right there’s a big difference.

Mark Suster , the highly visible venture capitalist blogger at GRP Partners, has invested in UK-based TreeHouse , an online, video-focused site for helping users learn web design and development. Suster, in announcing the deal on his blog, did not say if his firm, GRP Partners, participated in the round. READ MORE>>.

It's like WordPress, but instead of blogging, it provides an online community, which is self-hosted. We started working on local web design projects, but got sick of that in six months. Early on in college, we built a product called Blog Hoster, which allowed you to create white label blogs.

I commented briefly on his blog and made a mental note to write a blog post. In 2005 he was graduated and took a job in South Carolina working for technology company while he started his own web design company on the side. Once you start censoring the Web, you restrict the ability to imagine and innovate.

I recently read a post over on VentureHacks titled, “ Top Ten Reasons Entrepreneurs Hate Lawyers &# written by Scott Walker (who blogs on legal issues for entrepreneurs ). But as with consulting, PR, web design and even VC – it’s not just the firm it’s also the individual. Good people and evil people.
