The company of eight was engaged in web design, hot at the time. And here were over a million users, with no apparent value to the web designers, except as a community of friends with similar interests. I promised to come see him at his office the very next week.

The book Summerhill School greatly impacted Lynda as a child. In 1995, Lynda wrote one of the first books on web design, Designing Web Graphics. I lasted about two weeks doing it and I just learned I was a horrible salesperson. Frustrated Students Create A New-Fangled Learning Company .

Two weeks after Brad’s post I was at the 140 Conference in LA and I held open office hours for any entrepreneur who wanted to spend 15 minutes talking with a VC about their business.
