I remember going to an Under the Radar conference in 2006 in the heat of the Web 2.0 There were tons of young entrepreneurs showing their latest Web 2.0 portfolios. Do so at your peril.

The last piece, was we figured that we could disintermediate a broken, retail channel, by creating a customized, sophisticated, Web 2.0 It was a deliberate approach, in all honestly, about raising and using capital. The focus has really been on that as it relates to raising outside capital. companies around the LA area.

What we've managed to do, is to use our background in web hosting--my partners and I have been building web hosting companies for years in the app hosting space--to run EdgeCast, in a way that is capital efficient, profitable, and highly performant. I think that's what is the main foundational element of a Web 2.0

Shortly after we sold Opsware to Hewlett-Packard, I had a conversation with the legendary venture capitalist Doug Leone of Sequoia Capital. Coworking Spaces - A VC : Venture Capital and Technology , September 2, 2010 I've never been much of a fan of incubators. Another important web 2.0 Some have made the model work.

Where I use LinkedIn: * I definitely use LinkedIn for Specific Requests - Ex. Open Source Business Models, speakers for Web 2.0 I definitely check people out using LinkedIn. However, it definitely has served as a hub. event I did last fall. LinkedIn has been my primary tool for keeping track of who to invite. *
