Adaptive Medias Buys StartEngine's Ember

Irvine-based online advertising firm Adaptive Medias is announcing this morning that it has acquired Ember , one of the companies incubated out of the StartEngine startup accelerator in Los Angeles. As part of the acquisition, StartEngine founders Howard Marks and Paul Kessler have both joined Adaptive Medias'' advisory board.

Phocas Sets CFO

Irvine-based Phocas Software, a developer of data analytics software for the manufacturing, distribution, and retail business market, says it has named Dave Boorman as its new Chief Financial Officer. The company said Boorman was most recently CFO for Network Ten, and also served at Seven West Media.
