Los Angeles-based Meetrix , a developer of an online virtual conference room service, said today that it has granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office. The patent, number 7,664,056, was issued February 16th, and covers "Media based collaboration using mixed-mode PSTN and Internet networks".

Entrepreneurs should never disclose the details of a planned or current patent application to any outsiders, until after a non-disclosure or other contract has been signed. Some entrepreneurs avoid the patent process, since patent details become public once a patent is issued.
