I’ve had a long-standing rule of thumb in product design, which I call “design for the novice, configure for the pro.&# I started saying this back in 2001/02, long before the era of Web2.0, Fast forward a decade and now I had a startup filled with smart webdevelopers.
I think that's what is the main foundational element of a Web2.0 The development community and webdevelopers, who tend to be our customers, like that flexibility, and the quick time to market. You have to be able to be disruptive to existing products and services. Those two areas are a bit of a moving target.
