Matt Stodder: What we see, is we're occupying a place in the ecosystem where there are companies with ideas, but really haven't take those ideas to a place where they can execute or plan for them. There are lots of people who create ideas, without places for them to go. That kills companies and waste resources.
I know that this all seems obvious now with the movements started by Steven Blank ( Four Steps of Epiphany ) with the whole CustomerDevelopment processes / Lean Startup movements also popularized by people like Eric Ries. They had decided to take a Digg style approach to product development. Back then it seemed foreign.

We had over 35 ideas pitched Friday night, certainly on the higher side than normal with some really killer ideas. Attendees then cast their votes and 12 winning ideas were selected. Those with their ideas selected were out on the prowl, looking to recruit the top designer or developer in the room.
This customer loves you, your product or service, your brand. This is a great group to solicit ideas for new products/service or changes you are considering. They are a great resource and a great place to try trial balloons for new ideas to see how they resonate with your best customers. They get you.
