Santa Monica-based Demand Media announced this morning that it has inked a deal with Buddy Media , developer of a Facebook management system for advertisers, on a new version of Pluck. Pluck is Demand Media's social media application.

Looking to enhance the advertising units on its network of sites, Santa Monica-based Demand Media said today that it has launched a new set of "social feed ads" to its advertisers. Demand Media said the new tools integrate custom, real-time social feeds into rich media ads featuring video, audio, Flash, and HTML5.

Santa Monica-based Demand Media , the online publishing empire run by Richard Rosenblatt, said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired two companies, plus renewed a deal with Google. As part of that effort, Demand Media said its inventory will be included in the premium Google Display Network Reserve.

Santa Monica-based business outsourcing service provider TaskUs , founded by Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, said this morning that it has raised $250M in an investment round.
