Los Angeles-based j2 Global said on Thursday that it continues to estimate revenues of between $1.20 billion and $1.25 billion for its fiscal 2018, as it continues to grow its stable of businesses. Appetize Finds $23M More In Funding

Los Angeles-based Appetize , which develops modern, point-of-sale systems that use tablets and handheld devices to replace antiquated POS systems, has raised $23M in a Series B funding, the company said this week. The funding came from 32 equity, the NFL's investment arm. Appetize says it has now raised more than $50M in funding. Appetize has a significant footprint in the sports world, with deployment at 10 NFL stadiums, including use by the Philly Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

Qualcomm Negotiates Antitrust Settlement In Taiwan

San Diego-based Qualcomm has negotiated a settlement in Taiwan, which will reverse most of a giant $774M fine levied against the company in 2017, reducing that fine to just $93M. According to Qualcomm, it will now promise to invest $700M over the next five years and develop a Taiwanese center for operations and manufacturing engineering, among other investments in the country.

Los Angeles-based dating app Tinder is set to hit $800M in revenues in 2018, according to owner Match Group this week. Match Group CFO Gary Swidler reported the growth in revenues at Tinder earlier this week, on Match's earnings call, saying that Tinder more than doubled its revenues from last year. Most of Tinder's earnings are from Tinder Gold, the premium version of the Tinder dating service.
