El Segundo-based Morf3D, a metal additive manufacturing company which is a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, and Los Angeles-based space startup accelerator Starburst Aerospace, are in a manufacturing deal in Long Beach, Morf3D said this week. Financial details of the deal were not announced.

Long Beach-based Rocket Lab says it has scored a contract from NASA, to launch a payload to the moon. The NASA funded mission will place a 55 pound satellite into lunar orbit, as part of a mission by NASA to establish a long term presence on the Moon. Financial details of the win were not announced.

Long Beach-based Cargomatic , which develops technology to connect shippers and carriers, said this week that it has raised $35M in a Series B funding round. Cargomatic develops a mobile marketplace, which helps connect short-haul carriers to shippers. Cargomatic is led by CEO Richard Gerstein, and was founded in 2013.
