Normally the product is defined as a web site. Most founders are fairly passionate about the features and functions of the web site, iPhone application, Facebook application, or whatever web application represents the product. What applications and web sites have you been using? For me, my number one application is email.

What are some good examples of similar sites? Examples of other brands/sites that are similar from a brand perspective? Do you need to provide RSS? Is the whole site SSL/HTTPS, only the login process, or something in between? Does the site need to throttle potential malicious activity? are you going to leverage?

When I was listening, I made a point to try to do that, but when I did, I found I had to go to twenty sites to find the information I needed--whether that was to write a letter, send an email, or whatever. It really discouraged me, and frustrated me, and I thought--there has got to be a better way to do this--so I created FreedomSpeaks.

PIM based on Java that would be up-to-date on all your devices. Server and client in Java.
