San Dimas-based search and digital marketing firm WebMetro is now officially part of TeleTech Holdings , TeleTech said this morning. The companies had announced the acquisition in July. TP-LINK Debuts New Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router

San Dimas-based wireless router maker TP-LINK has rolled out a new, tri-band Wi-Fi router, called the Archer C5400, the company said this morning. According to TP-LINK, the new router is aimed at the online gaming market, allowing avid gamers to stream 4K video content and games at the fastest available Wi-Fi speeds. TP-LINK says its new Archer C5400 routers have the ability to stream at up to 5400Mbps over one 2.4Ghz and two 5Ghz links, using MU-MIMO.

TP-Link Launches Line Of Wi-Fi Connected Light Bulbs


San Dimas-based TP-Link , which develops networking products, has rolled out a new line of Wi-Fi connected, "smart" light bulbs. According to TP-Link, the new lightbulbs install like a standard light bulb, and do not require a smart hub or bridge to work, and are compatible with Amazon Alexa. The light bulbs--which are fully dimmable, and used LEDs--range from 50 watts to 60 watts, and connect into an iOS or Android app via a consumer's home Wi-Fi router.

TP-Link Opens New HQ, Sponsors LA Kings


The company, which previously was based in San Dimas, said its new headquarters in Brea has more than 26,350 square feet, and will house more than 75 employees in sales, marketing, and product management. TP-Link , which develops wireless networking equipment, hardware for the smart home market, and more, said it has moved its headquarters to Brea, California.

According to the companies, WebMetro will become part of TeleTech''s Customer Growth Services division, Revana. TeleTech is a large provier of customer service outsourcing to companies. The two said they expect the deal to be complete in August.

WaveStream Acquired By Gilat


San Dimas-based Wavestream , a venture backed provider of high power solid state amplifiers, has been acquired for approximately $130M by Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. , an Israeli firm in the satellite broadband communications product market. Gilat said Wednesday that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Wavestream in an all-cash deal, to further enhance its market position in the government sector.

Wavestream Raises $7M


San Dimas-based Wavestream , a developer of solid state, RF (radio frequency) amplifiers, has raised $7.0M of an $8.0M funding round, according to a regulatory filing. Names of new investors in the firm were not disclosed, however, the firm has previously raised funding from companies such as Anthem Ventures, Digital Power Capital, Oak Investment Partners, Titan Corp., Triquint Semiconductor, and ITU Ventures.

TP-Link To Pay $200,000 To FCC Over Router Violations


San Dimas-based wireless equipment maker TP-Link , which develops wireless routers and switches, has agreed to pay $200,000 to the FCC, for allowing its users to run their Wi-Fi radios and routers at higher levels than allowed by the FCC. According to the FCC, TP-Link has also agreed to let third party firmware run on its hardware--while still obeying those FCC power limits.
