Los Angeles-based Network Automation , which develops IT and business process automation software, has hired back founder Dustin M. The firm explained the appointment comes as it had its best quarter on record in Q4 of 2012, showing 47 percent year-over-year revenue growth. READ MORE>>.

What is it about the content delivery network market which has enabled Santa Monica-based EdgeCast to go from startup to over $100M in revenues in only a few, short years? We serve up four to five percent of the global Internet on our network. For those who don't know about EdgeCast, CDN services, who/what kind of clients you serve?

The industry finally has one of their own at the helm of the largest YouTube network. My estimate is that the top 5 YouTube networks will do > $200 million net revenue in 2013 (after Google’s share). Ynon & I first discussed Maker in early 2012. Another major hire was Ryan Lissack who joined as CTO.

The crux of it is we help buyers user their network to verify suppliers, primarily in Asia and China, where we started. It''s a social network for world trade, kind of a combo between Alibaba and LinkedIn. In 2011, we built our site, and in 2012, last year, we started getting content. That was between 2010 and 2012. In 2012, we decided to pivot again, aiming at the same group of consumers, turning into Cheers, a positive social network, kind of the opposite of gripe. Fortunately, Bryan, our CTO at the time, said his wife worked with two guys who had started this thing called Flipagram in 2012.
