How difficult has it been to get your customers to understand the exposure with SMS? One of my friends, the CIO of a large healthcare system, did a study with Verizon of their facility, and found that there were 3 million SMS messages sent in a month. Some of the first customers we had were in obstetrics.

If you look at some of the statistics, getting a home loan is like pulling teeth, and it gets very poor customer ratings. My counterpart, Mark Attaway, our CIO, was at Fidelity national and LSI, both title companies, building automated platforms for the title process. It's just ridiculous. I'm passionate about changing this industry.

A CEO who has “been there and done that” is traction, especially if teamed with a financial lead (CIO) and a product lead (CTO). For a business, you must define the absolute minimum features you need to satisfy the customer problem, and test it in the market. Get a real customer and real revenue.
