Because the event was scheduled during Trojan Family Weekend, a weekend where parents and family from all over the nation come visit the USC campus, the event was filled with curious family members. This event was a competition, and judges began making their rounds around noon. Grief Center Market Traction Award ($2500): BriskRabbit.

Los Angeles-based Tilofy (www.tilofy.com)--out of USC''s Viterbi Startup Garage--is doing just that, helping to highlight what is going on around you, by absorbing all of that location data out there at any particular time and place. My degree is from USC in big data. As you probably know, Viterbi is the engineering school at USC.

What is the idea behind the Tech CEO Network? The Tech CEO Network is there to fill the gap. That technology is coming out of USC's biomedical department, which is part of its School of Engineering. It's trying to determine if there is a viable way to go to market, and also deal with competitive issues.
