I’ve had a long-standing rule of thumb in product design, which I call “design for the novice, configure for the pro.&# I started saying this back in 2001/02, long before the era of Web2.0, My philosophy emanated from my days of programming and later designing corporate software in the early 1990′s.
When you start your company the very first question you need to ask yourself is which kind of customers do you want to serve.
