To get some insight into how those names are changing--we caught up with Steve Banfield , SVP and GM of Registrar Services over at Rightside (www.rightside.co) -- which is in the midst of spinning out from Santa Monica-based Demand Media. I don''t think the HTML browser is going to change.

Still, if you've not heard these questions from a developer, they are not helping you as much as they should. Do you transact immediately or on delivery of some product or service? Will you tap into geolocation services provided by the browser or license a third-party lookup table? Do you want Flash video, HTML 5 video, or both?

Our business is helping those guys make more money, through our better ad product. Our ad product helps them close more RFPs, gives them better engagement, and creates additional inventory which is not just an ad spot on a page. The HTML5 platform that we use is also available as a self service tool to customers.

Goko wants to work with developers to across the world to reinvent the popular HTML board and card games. Goko was founded by Ted Griggs as CEO and Kevin Binkley as CTO.

Santa Barbara-based Likeabilitee (www.likeabilitee.com) has come up with a new, highly visual service which makes it very easy for you to analyze and understand how people are engaging with your social media posts on Facebook. What's the idea behind the service, and what can do with it? But, they were an HTML app on a LAMP stack.

It’s central standard was HTML (hyper text markup language) that described how we would show data on computer screens. When web browsers (the programs that can read and interpret HTML) were popularized they were “dumb.” He’s right about this. But only temporarily in my view. The WWW is the presentation layer.
