Beverly Hills-based Myspace , the online social entertainment site now owned by Specific Media, said this morning that it has named Roger Mincheff as President of Myspace Entertainment. Myspace said that Mincheff will help lead internal production and entertainment efforts, developing original programming and content for the site.

LiveXLive said it will combine the content programming teams of both companies. LiveXLive is based in Beverly Hills, and is led by CEO Robert Ellin. In a related move, LiveXLive apparently also has acquired New York-based social media software developer SNAP Interactive. LiveXLive is a live music streaming service.

Beverly Hills-based OVGuide.com , an online site focused on video discovery and search, disclosed today that the firm has received $5M in funding from Baroda Ventures LLC, the investment firm of former GeoCities founder David Bohnett. According to OVGuide, the new funding will go towards further developing its search engine.
