Soraa Launches PAR20 Lamp

Soraa , the LED lighting company which is using technology developed by UCSB inventor Shuji Nakamura, has rolled out a new LED lamp product in the common PAR20 format. Soraa--which has operations in Goleta, but does its manufacturing in Fremont--said its new LED lamp is 85% more energy efficient than standard, halogen lamps.

Soraa Gets Install In Tokyo Museum

Soraa , the UC Santa Barbara spinout which develops LED lighting technology, says it has installed its lamps at the Idemitsu Museum of Arts in Tokyo, Japan. Soraa said it was specifically selected to replace "dated" halogen lamps. Financial impact of the win was not announced.
