I just had an all-too common conversation with the founder of a startup who had spent more than a year working with a softwaredevelopment company who had produced a mess. The mess really comes from a developer who was willing to get started on a product that was not fully thought out. Who are the customers?
They didn't feel they had visibility into timelines and costs for development of their software. Investors and early customers were becoming worried about the ability of the founder to deliver. In all four cases, I would claim that what's at fault is a common misunderstanding in Agile SoftwareDevelopment.
This is a private group of CTOs who are responsible for softwaredevelopment within their companies. They are generally the senior most person responsible for customsoftwaredevelopment, database design, database administration, web development, etc.
