Calabasas-based Ixia said Wednesday that it has signed a definitive agreement to buy a product line from Agilent Technologies, in a deal worth $44M in cash. Agilent's N2X Data Networks product line is used for testing and validating next generation networking equipment, including voice-over-IP, VPN, and data services. READ MORE>>.

Calabasas-based Ixia said late Monday afternoon that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Catapult Communications, a developer of 3G and 4G wireless networking test products. Ixia said the acquisition will complement its IP performance test systems and service verification products.
