The entrepreneur cannot wait to show me their product via a demo. Most entrepreneurs seem confused by my reaction and often say something like: “VCs love demos. You’re the first one I’ve met who didn’t want to see our product.” Note: I invest almost exclusively in b-to-b software companies. Don’t Demo Me Bro.

Los Angeles-based AppOnboard , the developer of mobile app demo technology led by Jonathan Zweig, says that it now has such app developers as FoxNext Games, Game Insight, Superheart Studios, Jam City, Huuuge Games, and Simple Habit using its tools.

Our most recent Demo Day in November 2018 (at Google/Venice on the main stage) was the most well-attended Demo Day in the history of Startup Boost.

The Disney Accelerator , held its Demo Day for its second class on Thursday, showing off ten companies to a theater packed full of venture and angel investors. A number of the companies--showing off one huge advantage of being involved in a program run by Disney--announced deals with Disney properties to use their technology and products.

The press around the raise & company was fantastic and the promise of their technology – wireless charging that works as easily as WiFi – would positively affect many of our lives. uBeam’s tech does work and I have safely seen it demo’d in the real life many times. Working on it. And being ambitious.

This was in large part due to the marketing efforts of Jason that created a great top end of the funnel (100+ companies applied) and the herculean efforts of Tyler Crowley who spent days going through all of the submissions and serving up 5 very interesting companies. would acknowledge – they needed to get to the demo more quickly.
