Self Driving, Autonoous Las Vegas Shuttle Crashes On First Day On The Job

An experiment involving the first-ever, fully self-driving shuttle bus in the nation, launched in Las Vegas yesterday, had a very bad first day on the job on Wednesday. The NAVYA Arma shuttle bus, run by French company Keolis, apparently smashed into a semi truck pulling out of alley shortly after it started making its rounds about Vegas. According to local media reports, the accident was ultimately blamed on the human driving the semi truck.

Exym Gets Funding From Alpine Investors

Los Angeles-based Exym , which develops cloud-based EHR software used by outpatient behavioral clinics, has received an investment from private equity investor Alpine Investors. Terms of the deal were not announced. According to Exym, the transaction is with Alpine Investors V, VI, and VI-A, LP. As part of the deal, Exym founder Matt DeBeer will become CTO of the company, focused on product strategy and customer advocacy, and Alpine'sd Nick Horn will become CEO.
