Unfortunately, despite the wealth of Internet based tools for email management, web-based sales management tools, and more, contact tracking has been mostly an afterthought in the Internet age. By now you probably know that David Sacks , co-founder of PayPal and founder of both Geni & Yammer made some observations on Facebook that Silicon Valley “as we know it” was coming to an end. And Dropbox & Box.net in a Google, Microsoft, Apple world. Where David is Totally Right. And Twitter wouldn’t exist.

A typical day starts with email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Yammer checks/updates. Then I check and manage our Google Adwords campaign and check our analytics/stats. I frequently work on networking through the social web and building new relationships that will foster knowledge gathering or business growth. Great posts.

Google had no clue that they were going to make so much money in sponsored search. Geni.com beget Yammer. We’ve proven that through innovation and experimentation we can do significantly more revenue than we’re getting through Google AdSense. They really just copied and out executed Overture (originally goto.com).

And I know that great startups like Yammer are doing well. Tynt Multimedia “Online tool that allows content sites to control copy-paste activity on their web sites.&# For starters I LOVE the idea for this product. So hot that even Google is getting in on the act. Collaboration in business starts and ends with email.
