Demand Media's IPO was well above the firm's initial estimated range of $14.00 The firm closed at $22.65 Wednesday afternoon.

News Corporation said a few minutes ago that it has added two new executives at MySpace , and is tapping Tsavo Media's Michael Jones as Chief Operating Officer and Sling Media's Jason Hirschhorn as Chief Product Officer. Fox Interactive Media has reportedly laid off a number of staffers, and is restructing its MySpace unit, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The WSJ reports that News Corp's Fox Interactive Media division laid off about 5 percent of its work force, or about 100 people.
