It's been awhile since we caught up with the folks at Los Angeles-based Oversee.net (www.oversee.net), which has a very big businesses in the domain name area, so we thought we'd sit down and hear how things are going for the firm. What businesses is Oversee.net now in? We talked with Jeff Kupietzky, CEO of Oversee.
One of the co-founders of Oversee.net , the successful Los Angeles domain name monetization firm, has surfaced in Seattle with a new startup, AppBank.com. Fred Hsu, who co-founded Oversee.net along with Lawrence Ng, has started AppBank to allow users to create and share Facebook quizzes and other applications.
Los Angeles-based Laudville , a startup developing an online platform to help users share entertainment like movies, books, TV, and music with friends, has added Gene Chuang to its board of advisors, according to the firm. Chuang is currently Chief Technology Officer at Oversee.net,and also has served at such companies as Yahoo!
Lawrence Ng , the co-founder of Oversee.net, said this morning that it has launched a new, startup fund called the OnRamp Fund , a $10M, international incubation fund that invests in early stage startups. Ng startedOversee.net in 2008, and he and his co-founders eventually sold the company to Oak Hill Capital for $150M.
WanderWe , a new, online travel site from Los Angeles-based Oversee.net, said today that it has launched, to help travelers find and book short trips, within a 500 mile radius of home. Oversee.net said the new site came about as part of an internal incubation effort at the company. WanderWe''s General Manager and VP is Raj Beri.

Lawrence Ng , the former founder of Oversee.net--who is now running an asset management company called LNG Management--has linked up with New York City-based venture capital firm Metamorphic Ventures. Los Angeles-based KidGuard.com , a startup backed by Lawrence Ng's OnRamp Fund, said this week that it has launched a new product which can help parents monitor their children's texting and cell phone usage. According to the startup, it's able to track communication in Facebook, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Skype, Viber, Kik, WeChat and Line.
