However, I saw that the people building traditional products were still not familiar with the social web. For example, some of my biggest competitors--such as Flintstones vitamins--have been around for 40 years, have virtually no web presence, and a PageRank of 2. We feel we've build, from the ground up, an internet brand.

This is NOT the same as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO is not placing ads, but tuning your website so that it is more highly ranked by Google, and featured in the first page of results, not in an ad beside the results. Keyword research and budget forecasting. Campaign setup and ad copy writing.

One of the hardest things about being a blogger is drawing that line between being a business owner and writing for passion.

Every business wants their web site to appear on the first page of search engine results from a relevant search (Search Engine Optimization). Blogs help because sites that update data frequently get higher SEO rankings. Search the Internet for blogs in your industry and do a little research before you start. Add outgoing links.

On the card I usually write the date, where I met the person, how I met them and what value I can bring to the table. For $9 bucks a month I send in all my business cards and receipts in a prepaid blue envelope, they promptly scan and accurately enter in all the info from each card for me to easily view on their web based dashboard.
