I thought the analogy was preposterous back in 2006-2007 but it has become obvious. In the summer of 2006 over a cup of Peet’s Coffee, you told me about this new thing called “cloud computing” and that you were trying to come up with a creative way to incorporate it into the curriculum of your upcoming UCSB Computer Science class.

2001-2004 were very humbling but we built a real company. We launched out second company, Koral, at DEMO in 2006. This is only the first chapter in my story. That story for another day. Don’t Believe the Hype – take your lesson from Public Enemy (video worth a 4 minute diversion ). I did get to have a second act.

However, in 2006, my own son got cancer, and I was thrown into the sad state of affairs that goes into that. I'm humbled by the goodness of strangers and the kidness of people. I retired from there in 2003, but I've always been an entrepreneur and run lots of businesses, and have always been in technology. People want to help.
