They thought it was like MySpace and why did I need a MySpace page? In 2011 I started using Instagram. It was a break from information overload of Facebook. In 2015 I opened up my Facebook page to the public. Here’s the thing: If you never try new product and new networks you’ll never learn anything.

The best businesses understand the difference and that communities are the single best advocates for others to buy your products. the customer on stage showing your product turns into an advocate or evangelist while the prospect is far more likely to be persuaded by a customer presentation than a salesperson’s pitch.

spent 2011 raising our seed round, which we used to build our team.and launched the product into beta about a year ago, at the end of 2011. We then spent the first half of 2012 beta testing the product, getting feedback and input to the point where we could start selling it. Are people using the product now?

In what is a fairly unusual move, last week, Tradesparq (www.tradesparq.com), a Chinese startup in the area of B2B trade information, said it was planning on setting up its operations here in Southern California, as part of an expansion and scaling of the company. In 2011, we built our site, and in 2012, last year, we started getting content.

Brands didn’t advertise their web pages they advertised “AOL Keywords.&# You couldn’t pick up a magazine in the 96-99 timeframe without seeing AOL Keywords advertised everywhere. By the mid-nineties we had the World Wide Web, which gave us a standard way to publish web pages using HTML. Now I don’t get any.

On every profile page, we have a like button, plus we also have a search box. When people search for a celebrity birthday, or like a profile page, we count that as a vote. We realized afer 2011 that we were spreading ourselves thin by trying to make five to ten websites great. The first, is popularity rankings.
