Since the recent recession, and at least partially sparked by it, I’m seeing a real resurgence of entrepreneurial spirit, and more startup activity than ever before. is already well above the dot.com bubble of 15 years ago, although we have slipped a bit this year from the high point of 320 new entrepreneurs out of 100,000 adults in 2011.

I know it’s easier to write “horse race&# stories about who’s signing up more users, raising more funding or who’s “hot&# lately. Google started as a place where you came to be taken via links to other people’s websites. I’m hoping that HTML5 + mobile will lead them down a more open path.

Today’s startup innovators come from about six hours south of Silicon Valley. Fun Fact: One of the most prominent figures from their firm, Mark Suster t, runs a blog startups follow religiously. Social Enterprise: Hub LA. Their Behavioral Marketing Platform even broke new ground at ad:tech 2011 winning an innovation award.

Founded in 2011 by twenty-five year old Alex Capecelatro , At The Pool serves over 3.5 million people in over 100 countries.

People who get paid by results have every incentive to think up smarter ways of getting work done. Use of collaborative and other social media platforms.

All the data actually suggests with the growth of mobile, inbound sales calls will double from 30 billion to 60 billion in 3 years (source: Kelsey). In fact 61% of all mobile searches where a customer contacts a business it is via a phone call (source: Google). But let me start with some data. Calls are changing but not dying.
